Help support the Chennai Children's Choir!
The Chennai Children’s Choir is a cherished initiative of NalandaWay that has been providing formal musical training to 30 young singers since 2015.
In welcoming children with disabilities and children from less-fortunate socioeconomic backgrounds, the choir represents a rich world of enthusiastic aspiring singers. The choir has performed at different venues, won many hearts, and have had many videos go viral.
They meet every Sunday at the Children’s Club in Chennai to rehearse with professional musicians and music facilitators, Manjula Ponnapalli and Vedanth Bharadwaj. Along with learning music, the facilitators also emphasise on life skills, understanding the social emotional learning outcomes of the song repertoire, learning musical instruments and developing an understanding of career opportunities in music
Some of them cannot afford to have breakfast everyday. They come to class without eating and do not have the stamina to sing for hours.
We are inviting you to contribute to this programme by making a donation that will help towards providing these young talents with a nutritious meal prior to their session every week.
It would cost ₹2250 per day/session and ₹1,26,000 to provide the children with breakfast for a year (56 sessions). Make a donation today, no amount is small. Thank you!
