Unicef has been the reason many of our marginalized children groups have taken to the arts for expression and ways to explore means of livelihood. A big thank you to Porticus for supporting us in the development of the art curriculum for the Government of Delhi! Their support and involvement in the content development and the piloting of the arts programme led us to use gender and disability as a lens and make the curriculum more inclusive.

The reason our flagship event Youth Speak, focusing on youth wellbeing, has been such a success over the years. Their support has meant we go farther and stronger in creating this conference and grants event that brings the best of youth organizations together. Our early childhood literacy and numeracy program, which predominantly uses stories, has come out with flying colours in Noida, due to HCL’s warm and sustaining support. AZIM PREMJI PHILANTHROPIC INITIATIVES

Support around our work at 10 institutional care homes run by the Government of Tamil Nadu has meant we can provide the orphaned children with a safe, exploring space to be themselves. The joy they experience in learning life skills through the arts is for everyone to see. Thank you for being the champions of emotional wellbeing for 10 to 16 year olds who need it the most.

The reason our work with hearing and speech impaired children has continued to thrive, with the newest source of inspiration being a dance and theatre lab meant just for them! We are the “Key Partner” to Singapore International Foundation for the Arts for Good Fellowship, which brings in writers, artists, educators and arts managers to collaborate on social projects. Art practitioners from across the globe work directly with communities in India to influence change.

CHENNAI WILLINGDON CORPORATE FOUNDATION

Young disadvantaged children across our arts in education programme in Chennai have been able to learn more fully because of the support offered by Chennai Willingdon Corporate Foundation. Even our learn-at-home kits programme, which has expanded the way young children learn language and math while getting to understand the importance of wellbeing. Thank you for believing in these causes!

GOVERNMENT OF TAMIL NADU

In the last 15 years, the Department of Education has helped us implement a variety of arts education and wellbeing projects for children from urban/marginalised communities as well as children from educationally backward rural/tribal regions. Thanks to the Department of Social Defence, we are able to spread the magic of art to children from 10 government homes, as a part of our vAnam Vasapadum project. We sincerely appreciate the support!

RODDENBERRY FOUNDATION AND DASRA

Our pandemic response initiatives were largely supported by Roddenberry Foundation and Dasra. With their help, we used a combination of visual and performing arts to help children express themselves better and feel less anxious after the second lockdown. They also extended a helping hand to support our Schools of Specialized Excellence in Performing and Visual Arts project in Delhi. A huge thank you!

GOVERNMENT OF KERALA

In Trivandrum, our adolescent girl programme (Project Sakhi) is implemented in the Sreechitra Home which is run by the Department of Child and Women, Government of Kerala. Thank you for making it possible to work on the holistic development of adolescent girls in Kerala!

GREATER CHENNAI CORPORATION

We have been associated with the Greater Chennai Corporation for the last decade! They have assisted our work in schools with regard to arts education and foundational literacy and numeracy, and have also helped us set up art labs across the city of Chennai. 

DEPARTMENTS OF SCHOOL EDUCATION - JAMMU & KASHMIR, BIHAR AND JHARKHAND

Thanks to the Departments of School Education for taking the goodness of our ‘Take it Eazy’ project across Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, and Bihar. Through our intervention, we observed a significant increase in adolescent and teacher wellbeing both, overall and in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic!

GOVERNMENT OF DELHI

As a member of the curriculum reform committee for the Government of Delhi, we develop the arts curriculum for children across visual arts, music, dance, theatre and media. Thank you for the opportunity!
