Mirnalini Venkatraman is an educator, early childhood education enthusiast, product professional, and parent with domain expertise in ECE, news subscriptions, and retail e-commerce.
She began her career in non-profits a decade ago at NalandaWay Foundation, where she collaborated with the Tamil Nadu State Government to roll out arts curriculum and conducted learning workshops for children through Kanavu Pattarai. As a Teach For India Fellow, she worked transformatively with 96 children in Mumbai’s Koliwada chawls for two years.
Mirnalini subsequently built products for education start-ups, scaled pre-school systems, and developed online subscriptions for The Hindu and e-commerce platforms. She thrives on the challenge of building from 0 to 1 and scaling to 100 and beyond, believing strongly in compounding effects, long-term efforts, and tech for good.
Now serving as Senior Manager – Projects at NalandaWay Foundation, she describes this role as a “special homecoming” as she heads Project Compass. Outside of work, she is a social entrepreneur, forever learner, and patron of arts and handicrafts—currently learning hand embroidery and to knot Wire Koodais. Her dream is to run an Airbnb with an attached café serving excellent home-cooked meals.
