Sameen Almas is the Director – Projects at NalandaWay Foundation. Over the past six years, she has led NalandaWay’s work in North India, and now, as part of the senior leadership team, she steers programme implementation, organisational growth, and partnerships with government stakeholders and donors across the country.

With over 16 years of experience in the development sector, her expertise lies in research and programme management across child rights and education, human rights, social exclusion, and livelihoods. She has independently conducted research for projects supported by AIF, UNDP, DFID, UNICEF, and ActionAid.

Outside of work, Sameen is a visual artist with a soft spot for urban sketching and calligraphy — always ready with a pen, a paintbrush, or both.
