Sameen is the Director – Projects at NalandaWay Foundation. She manages and mentors project teams, partners with government stakeholders and donors, and leads the adolescent girls’ programme (Sakhi) of NalandaWay Foundation. With an educational background in Human Development and Childhood Studies, she has had a consolidated work experience of over 12 years in social sector research and project management in livelihood generation, child rights and education, human rights, and social exclusion. In her last role as Project Manager at the Asian Heritage Foundation, she was responsible for a livelihood project for Tribal communities in selected 5 states of India, using design as a tool for intervention. In the past, she has contributed to research projects with AIF, UNDP, DFID, UNICEF and ActionAid, through extensive documentation and research skills. She is an artist- practising sketching and calligraphy, while also learning the piano.
