Siddhi Goel

Siddhi Goel is a professional Kathak dancer-teacher based in Delhi. A disciple of renowned Guru Pandit Jai Kishan Maharaj, Siddhi is the recipient of the prestigious Arts Research Grant from India Foundation for the Arts, Bangalore, granted to pursue research on the contribution of courtesans and Kathak artists in early 20th century Hindi cinema. She holds an M.A. in Arts and Aesthetics, from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She works as a facilitator for ImmerseGo, to develop Kathak based Arts Integrated Learning Modules for children and adults. A scholarship holder from Sahitya Kala Parishad, Govt. of Delhi, she has performed extensively in her Guru’s productions and as a soloist. In 2017, she created a multimedia Kathak module on www.sahapedia.org, as a Sahapedia UNESCO Fellow. Siddhi is passionate about movement and choreography & thoroughly enjoys the process of teaching and opening wider horizons for her students as well as herself.
