In a world taught to rely heavily on learning by rote, this program,me is a flagship Nalandaway offering geared to introduce the free flow of arts into conventional learning methods. Created primarily for 3 to 6 year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds, this project is implemented anganvadis in Noida and Delhi. The idea behind the programme is simple – to induce literacy and numeracy in young children through storytelling and art.
The aim is for every child to learn to experience their senses fully while developing cognitive, physical-motor, language-communication and socio-emotional skills. This is a programme that envelops many other stakeholders within its sensitive & humanistic framework, including teachers and mothers. An environment of support and guidance is created and perpetuated through consistent communication with stakeholders who directly have an impact on the children’s lives.
