An advocate of the feminist approach, Baishali values the unique experiences of individuals
and upholds choices. She views art as the most unrestrictive medium of exploration and
expression and believes in its healing powers. Education in subjects like psychology and
sociology, and volunteering experiences made her aware of the issues faced by children,
women and other vulnerable groups. She also realized that social work is where her passion,
values and ‘to-do’; personality converges; thus, she pursued her MA in Social work in Mental
Health from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai. Baishali wishes to contribute to
strengthening children’s ability to express and make choices through her work and finds
NalandaWay giving her that platform to pursue her mission. She is an avid reader and enjoys
painting and making all kinds of lists.
