Anubhuti is a musician and a theatre practitioner from Delhi. She has been learning and performing Hindustani vocal music from an early age. She trained for several years under Dr. Sarita Pathak Yajurvedi in Delhi and underwent advanced training under Prof. Meera Rao in Bhopal. She completed her PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies from School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2018. Her research interrogates the idea of knowledge and freedom in Hindustani music in the twentieth century.
Anubhuti enjoys working with children. She is passionate about developing an innovative pedagogy that seeks to dissolve hierarchies between different kinds of musical forms and opens up music to anyone interested in learning and knowing about it. She has formerly worked as a Theatre Specialist at Pathways School Gurgaon and as a Music and Theatre Instructor at Muskaan, Bhopal.
